Your inquiry is appreciated! The differences between the 65UB9500 and the 65UB9800 are that the 9800 slightly higher Ultra Clarity Index, 1560 versus 1500 for the 9500. The 9800 has a more robust premium 7.1 Harmon Kardon speaker system boasting an output of 70 Watts versus the 2.1 Harmon Kardon system in the 9500 that outputs 35 Watts. Other than that, the other difference is that the units are physically different. The 9800 is a little wider and not as slim as the 9500 and it is not as tall a TV. Both TVs have the same resolution so the screen quality is the same!...IFV
