  • QuestionI have regular blu rays not 4k blu rays my concern is they wont look good on this ive heard of the picture being shrunk or being blurry due to the resolution difference again regular blu ray not 4k ultra hd blu rays will they llook ok

    • Answer This television set is awesome!!! The SMART 4K ULTRA HD TV is the best. I have not experienced any issues regarding the picture being shrunk, nor I have had any blurry picture. Would I buy this TV again? Yes, indeed!!

  • QuestionI have a large blu ray collection and im worried that if i buy a 4k tv the blu ray movies wont look good on the tv ive read that there are problems with the movie picture being shrunk and not covering the screen or the quality isnt good is this true

    • Answer Hi Sabu. That is not true. As you are aware, 4K Ultra HD (or UHD) Blu-Ray discs are those that have a resolution of 3840 x 2160 which is a 16:9 Aspect Ratio resolution. The LG 65 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65UM6900PUA like any other 4K UHD (i.e Ultra HD) TV also has a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 and they all have an aspect ratio of 16:9 so when you play your 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs on the TV, that is the best picture you will get because the TV does not have to do anything to play display the 4K content from your discs and it will fit the screen perfectly.. The movie picture will not be shrunk at all. What you are referring to as being shrunk is letter boxing. When a lower resolution that does not have a 16:9 Aspect ratio is presented to the TV or video content that has a larger Aspect ratio like an aspect ratio of 2.35:1, to fit the image on the screen, the TV will create black bars on the sides or above and below the picture on the screen. This will not be the case with your 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs that have a 16:9 aspect ratio which is what is the aspect ratio for the TV. Check labels in the jewel cases for your 4K movies, it should indicate what Aspect Ratio the movies are...^IFV

Additional Compatible apps can be downloaded and installed from the LG Content Store (App Store) which is a feature that can be launched from the TV's home screen. LG Channels provides over 180 channels of free TV content along with other entertainment, educational, new and gaming apps. You can visit https://us.lgappstv.com/main/tvapp for a complete listing of the approximately 600 apps offered. We are continually working to add the latest streaming applications, such as HBO, but cannot provide a concrete timeline right now. To connect this to an Analog Stereo RCA input, you will need to purchase a Digital/Analog Converter that has an Optical Digital Audio Input at one end to connect to the TV using an Optical cable, and an Analog Stereo RCA Out at the other end that you can connect to your receiver using your RCA cables...^IFV

    • Answer All the HDMI inputs on the LG 60 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV (59.5'' Diag), Model # 60UM6900PUA are HDMI 2.0 ports and they are all HDCP 2.2 compliant. This TV does not have HDMI 2.1 ports. Those are only found on our higher-tiered OLED TVs and on 2020 NanoCell 99/95/90 series TVs and and NanoCell 85 series TVs...^IFV

    • Answer If you already have an indoor or outdoor antenna or you already have cable service and a cable Set-Top box from your cable service provider, you will not need any cables to set the LG 65 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65UM6900PUA up. All you need to do is just connect the antenna or cable set-top box to the TV and follow the onscreen instructions to set the TV up. The cable set-top box can also be connected via HDMI if your set-top box has an HDMI output so you will need an HDMI cable for that is you don't already have one. If you have other devices that need to be connected to the TV such as a VCR, DVD Player or a Blu-ray DVD player, then you will need the appropriate cables based on what connections you have on those devices. Blu-ray players connect via HDMI so you will need an HDMI cable for that. VCRs use Composite RCA cables (Red/White/Yellow) so you will need a Composite (aka AV cable) cable for that. DVD players can have either Composite ports, Component ports (Red/Green/Blue) with the associated AV ports (Red/White) or an HDMI port so you will need the appropriate cables to connect those...^IFV
