• back center, but there is two option to place a vent on either side, if you want to do it your self.

• Hello Scott. Thank you once again for your inquiry. As a new Dryer, the LG - 7.4 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Smart Electric Dryer - White Model # DLE3170W is shipped to vent to the rear. It can also be configured to vent to the bottom or side and for that, you would need to purchase an Adapter Kit, part # 383EEL9001B which has the necessary duct components to change the dryer vent location...^IFV
