    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out regarding the installation clearance height and width of the LG Dryer (DLEX6500B) model, when stacked with LG Washer WM65OOBA. The DLEX6500B dryer and the WM6500HBA washer are designed to be stacked, and their combined dimensions are a total height of 78 inches (39 inches for the washer and 39 inches for the dryer) and a width of 27 inches. For installation, ensure there's enough space behind for the dryer’s vent hose and washer’s water connections, ideally leaving at least 6 inches at the back and 1 inch on the sides and top for proper airflow and safety. • QuestionWhat accessories are needed for installation.

    Asked by Chris.

    • Answer Hello, Chris. To generate steam for the steam functions, you will need to purchase a new water supply hose to connect the water inlet on the ENERGY STAR® Certified 7.4 cu. ft. Smart Front Load Electric Dryer with AI Sensor Dry & TurboSteam™ Technology, Model # DLEX6500B to a cold water supply line. Do not reuse old hoses. A 'Y' connector is included with the dryer that can be used to share the cold water supply line between the dryer and your washer. A power cord (pigtail) connection between the wall receptacle and the appliance terminal block IS NOT supplied with electric dryers so you will need to purchase that separately. Depending on your local codes, or in their absence, the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, you can use a 3-prong or 4-prong UL-listed power cord that must be connected to the dryer's terminal block...^Ivan.

  • Questionhow do I fill the Tru steam sensor dry

    Asked by Jo.

    • Answer Hi there, Jo. Thank you for reaching out. We understand your question about filling the TruSteam™ sensor dry on the LG DLEX6500B dryer. The TruSteam™ feature in this model is designed to help reduce wrinkles and refresh clothes by using steam. It's not something you "fill" manually. Instead, the dryer has a water reservoir that needs to be filled to activate the steam functions. Here's how you can do it: Locate the Water Reservoir: It’s usually at the top of the dryer. Fill the Reservoir: Open the compartment and fill it with clean water (do not use distilled water or any additives). Select Steam Cycle: Once the reservoir is filled, choose a cycle that uses the TruSteam™ feature, such as "SteamFresh™" or "SteamSanitary™" from the available programs. Once these steps are followed, your TruSteam™ should be ready to go! https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-dlex6500b-front-load-electric-dryer#pdp_specs If you continue to have issues or need further assistance, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and we'll be more than happy to assist you further. • QuestionWhat is the difference between the 5500 and 6500 models? There is a $100 price difference but the spec sheets list all the same features.

    Asked by Gary.

    • Answer The main differences between the LG 5500 and 6500 models are the depth and color options. The LG 6500 is slightly deeper than the LG 5500, and it is available in black stainless steel in addition to white. The LG 6500 also has an AI DD feature that uses artificial intelligence to detect fabric types and adjust wash settings accordingly, while the LG 5500 does not have this feature.
