There is no recommended measurement for how far from the ceiling you should drill holes for the mount when mounting the LG 75 Inch Class 4K HDR Smart LED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (74.5'' Diag), Model # 75UM6970PUB. The best position to wall mount the TV is so that your eyes are level with the mid point on the TV from where you are sitting so you don't strain your neck while watching TV. Where that mid point will be will change as the distance you will be sitting from the TV changes. To determine what the best height is for mounting the TV in relation to your sitting position, sit where you will be sitting and put a sticky note where the mid point for the TV will be & you can look to see where the mount holes for the mount you intend to use should be drilled...^IFV
