No it does not work properly, which is why they WILL NOT allow you to purchase an extended warranty for any GEEK SQUAD "CERTIFIED" REFURBISHED ITEMS. Their refurbish process does nothing more than to repack the item for resale. Mine would not work at all and, when calling Best Buy (Bye Bye) customer service, they recommended that I purchase a NEW ONE instead. AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE!

This is the best deal for this headphones, I use this headphone for working out and even when I'm walking around the office.
