QuestionDoes the LG Gram 17 support a Samsung ddr4 16g pc4-21300 memory bar (with a clock at more than 2400 MHz) ? Did anybody try it?

- Answer As long as it's an M.2 2280 SSD it will work. That is the size of the cards that will fit into the SSD slots & regardless of brand or manufacturer, it will work.Same thing applies for the memory. The 17Z990-R.AAS8U1 comes with 2 x 8GB DDR4 2400MHz memory installed. One slot is onboard so it can't be changed, but you can exchange the second slot with 16GB for a total of 24GB.

QuestionWhat are the specs of the SSD (SATA or NVMe-PCIe), and is it possible to upgrade or add another SSD? Similarly, is it possible to upgrade the RAM? Is the warranty from LG internationally valid, what if I take the notebook to Thailand or Korea?

- Answer The LG gram 17” Ultra-Lightweight Laptop with Intel® Core™ i7 processor, Model # 17Z990-R.AAS8U1 comes with a 512GB SSD. Opening the 17Z990-R.AAS8U1 to upgrade the SSD or increase the RAM does void the warranty. This unit is designed for US use. The warranty covers the LG Gram when used in the US. ^CP

- Answer The LG gram 17” Ultra-Lightweight Laptop with Intel® Core™ i7 processor, Model # 17Z990-R.AAS8U1 comes with 16GB DDR4 2400MHz and it has two slots for RAM with one slot being 'On Board' (i.e soldered to the motherboard) and other slot has *GB that you can exchange with 16GB for a total of 24GB. The specifications on our product page for the LG gram 17” Ultra-Lightweight Laptop with Intel® Core™ i7 processor list the hard drive as M.2 2280 SSD. What the number 2280 means is that the slot supports 22mm wide and 80mm long M.2 devices. We list the hard drive as an M.2 2280 SSD (Solid State Drive) and the interface as SATA3 for the 17Z990-R.AAS8U1, but the M.2 interface is designed to use either Legacy SATA mode or the newer PCI-Express (PCIe) modes and the drive will pick which one to use. The slots in the laptop are labeled as NVMe x 4 and NVMe x 2 so if an NVMe SSD is connected to the slots, NVMe command will be used. QuestionI have heard that LG is the only company that can service LG products per a trip to Lowe’s to look at appliances. Is this true for laptops as well? Or can I have piece of mind that Geek Squad can fix this laptop if I were to buy it?

QuestionI am facing issues with left and right click with touch pad. The touch pad works great but when I need right click, sometime it takes several tries to get it right. A lot of mixing is happening between left and right click. How to fix that?
