• If you're already a Tracfone customer, any minutes you have on your old phone will transfer to this one when you activate the new phone and shut down the old one. The minutes are in your account, not just to the phone. If you're new to Tracfone, or are out of minutes, you'll need to buy minutes. When we bought our LG phone, it didn't come with minutes.
