“Has anyone tried this with a PS4/PS5 or Xbox controller? I assume that the plug and wireless doesn't carry voice so it wouldn't really work as a gaming headset and really just carry the sound. But I wanted to double check if anyone tried.”

Yes I have used them with a ps4 controller. They work okayish. You are correct in that there is no voice. There is also a lot of latency to the point where it is distracting from the game. You should also know that these will fall apart after using them for about 3 months and LG will not warranty this as they see it as physical damage even though the only thing I used them for was putting into and out of my ears.
