Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have yet to get any unlocks with fingerprint and the case on Take it off and it works fine....yes it defeats the purpose. (I tested it thinking it was the phone but it's only the case preventing it from reading)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you still have the option to use your fingerprint to unlock the phone. There's a thin film cover that covers the home button that still let's you use your fingerprint.
