Because The otter box case doesn't have the second part that this case does the second part is the part of the case that covers the screen and camera. And home button I had this case for my iPhone 6 and it is in perfect condition even tho I've dropped it multiple times so I'm going to buy the same case for my new phone that is the iPhone 7 Plus and hopefully it works out the same way I totally recommend this case to someone who is looking to protect their iPhone
