- Answer Hi, Alexinatl. The Linksys AX1800 (E7350) is not compatible with Velop and other Mesh routers. You may add another Linksys Atlas Max AXE8400 node to extend your network instead. Take note that each node can cover up to 3000 sq. ft. as long as placed into a strategic location and is running on the latest firmware.

QuestionCan you view your overall data usage for the day/month? Can you view data usage per device? Currently have the Google Nest Wifi mesh network setup ( 3 nodes) that has this feature and looking to upgrade to a Wifi 6e mesh router configuration (3 nodes).

QuestionI have a Velop system and one node is always going off line (happened two weeks ago on vacation). Does the AXE8400 have a remote restart so that when they go off line when I am traveling, I can then reboot them? Thank you

QuestionTheoretically if a device isn't compatible would it still be able to connect to a 5ghz band and get reasonable speeds? I have the Asus rapture 11000 router and want to make sure I'm not downgrading the connection to some of my devices.

- Answer Mostly, yes. The advantage of the 6 GHz over the 5 is, there are fewer devices that use the new frequency. You would see a slight gain otherwise from using higher frequence, but not that much. If you live in a crowded place with lots of WiFi around you, you will see more benefit. If you live in the middle of nowhere with nothing but cows for hundreds of miles, you won't notice a difference.

QuestionAfter setting up this system, I noticed that the devices that I have ensured support WifI 6 (iPhone 12) can't see the Wifi 6 specific SSID setup. Not sure why that is, but I am assuming there is some sort of router setting that might need to be changed?

- Answer If you are looking for the 6ghz band you will need the iphone 13 if it supports it. iPhone 12 supports Wi-Fi 6. To use the 6ghz band you need a device that supports Wi-Fi 6e.

QuestionWhen the nodes are connected to each other wirelessly, what are your avg speeds? -I currently have 4 ac2200 and I’m only getting 200 ish MBs per node. For this cost I’d hope they consistently deliver gigabit like speeds

- Answer Hi, Jonlegend. If you have the Linksys WHW03 models, then please know that it supports standard transmission rates for each node—867 Mbps (for each 5 GHz radio), 400 Mbps (for 2.4 GHz). Thus, if the concern happens on wireless connection, then we may need to consider physical obstructions and frequency interference that may cause connection concern. You may try to run the channel finder feature and observe the connection speed.

QuestionHi I have bad cell service in the house can I set this up by using my laptop with a ethernet cable in the parent (main) node instead of the app? ( after i connect the parent node/main node to the modem)

- Answer Once you download the app it all is working via Bluetooth and connecting to each nodes Wi-Fi signal. Does not need cell service. Just find a good spot to get the app first.

QuestionWhat is the highest down speed the WAN port can support on this device? Some on here says they’re getting 2 gig speeds but I kinda doubt that. I’d like to upgrade to 2 gigs if these can support it otherwise no

- Answer Slowest speed of ports (single 5gb) and (4 @ 1gb) If using 5gb connected to 1gb. (The speed is 1gb MAX) but internet speeds are limited to router and ISP contracted speeds _____ My experience with 300mbps ISP speeds (375mbps download internet = with 950mbps connection between nodes)

QuestionHas anyone utilized this item a house with a Gun 3 Nest thermostat? I tried ORBI early on and due to the location of the ORBI satellites and our NEST thermostats using the internal battery (no power wire) it drained them. Does this happen with Atlas?
