- Answer Hi, whizbang. Most of our routers are VPN passthrough. Our Velop and Mesh routers support Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP), and Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP). However, you can't configure VPN directly to our routers.

- Answer Theoretically you can have 255 devices connected to any given router. I keep mine set for 140 just to have some spare room in case of new devices. If you have more devices that takes bandwidth and that is your enemy. Most places have high speed internet but there are also many places that don't offer that option. If you only have 10Mbps to share then you are limited more by that than by the router. There are also many other variables for speed and connectivity. The router will always be limited to 255 IP address.

QuestionWhat is the square foot coverage of this router? Good for 2200 sq ft ranch home?

- Answer I have about 2000sqft with an open loft to the ground floor and it seems to connect well to everything except my thermostat and that is only 35-40 feet away in an area open between the router and thermostat. Not sure what that is about yet. Everything else works well. The more centrally located in the house the better it will be. I have a Echo dot in the garage and I get usable signal in the backyard if that helps.
