“How functional is the solar charging without direct sunlight?”

• Mine sits in my front door which is covered by a nook/walkway. It never gets direct sunlight and seems to be staying at 3/4 charge. So it doesn’t need direct sunlight.

• The Lockly Vision Elite is equipped with solar panels which auto trickle charges the lock's battery. Having an ideal source of light, the solar panel charges the battery to keep it at an optimal charge level of around 50-80%. Keeping the battery at this optimal level prolongs battery life. Once you noticed that your battery keeps falling below optimal level despite sufficient sunlight or ambient light, use the USB cable to charge the lithium battery or replace the solar panel.
