A:AnswerAs long you're using the correct settings, you'll hear the game. That's not really a question about the headset, but rather about a specific game's settings.
A:AnswerThe answer is no. But it's also yes. It completely depends on the headset. For all you know, you could've gotten a defective product, and someone else with the same product aren't experiencing any problems.
A:AnswerThere is a Blue version but it is a slightly more expensive headset because it comes with a 7.1 Emulated surround usb powered Adapter.
Otherwise for this model specifically no it is red only.
A:AnswerI've never had any issues with the mic picking up game noise and looping it, even on maximum volume. I play games like World of Warcraft, Overwatch, and several others with quite a bit of loud sound and never had that problem
A:AnswerThe mic actually performs rather well. It doesn't extend too far out in front of your face and people have no problems hearing me through voice chat. It sounds good on my youtube videos as well with very little editing.
A:AnswerShort answer - yes it need an adapter! but be cautious which one.
Explanation - xbox controllers are designed to use one 3.5 mm plug for sound and mic combined. Look at 3.5 mm plug on a headset specifically designed for the xbox and you will see 4 silver bands separated by plastic - the bands are used as follows - 1 band for ground, one band for left, one for right, and one for a mono mic.. 4 banded jacks are needed by xbox for stereo and mic in one jack. This headset has TWO SEPARATE JACKS, so you would need a very special adapter (radio shack) to convert it to one jack, and then another adapter for many xbox controllers. That means this headset needs two adapters for many controllers. Buy a headset that specifically says it is designed for the xbox you have.
