Yes, the camera is the motion sensor. Default is record continuously or set to motion only.

Please try again later.Yes the camera the way I have mine set up is that it recordes once the motion is activated and I have it set where it recordes one minute before the motion is activated just in case to catch any activity I paid a little bit over $300 for my system and I think that was a great price for what it does the night-time Vision on it I like but in my eyes it could be better
