“I have a old HT-R500 onkyo 5.1 receiver surround sound system. My 5.1 speakers are wired and I was wanting to add 2 more speakers without running speaker wires to have a 7.1 system to enjoy the atmos theater sound. Can I add 2 wireless speakers to this.”

None of our receivers support direct wireless Surround Back or Atmos (FH, FR, TF, TR) channels. You would need to install wireless speaker modules in order for that to happen. BB sells Rocketfish wireless modules for that very purpose.
