• You can have it as close as you want (within reason). Being closer will just make the bass more boomy. About 8-12" away should be good. Some may say 12-24 inches, but around 12 ive found is good.

While the speaker may perform/sound differently depending on the speaker placement and room, the speaker will still function as it should at that depth.
