I think a lot of people are overlooking the foveated rendering (higher resolution through eye tracking. Because this headset tracks your eyes, it can render where you are looking at a much higher resolution. This is not possible on Quest 2 and creates a mega high-quality image, like some of the higher resolution tethered PC headsets.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is like saying is a pickup truck or SUV really worth more than a 4 door car. They serve different functions and utilities, it's really based on you and what you intend on using it for because if you're just trying to play basic games then no, probably not but if you intend on using all the unique features this version can do than you will get more value out of it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not a Replacement for the Quest 2 but a Work Pro version. It can track eye moments and facial gestures and use that information to adjust avatars. the controllers have better tracking and can be used as pens in VR with more precision. with the color Passthrough, you can be more present in the world with all the benefits of VR. but again this is not for simply enjoying VR this is made for socializing while working on creating new experiences and products from the inside the headset.
