No psn needed. This is first and foremost a strong single player game with an awesome story.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's a single player game so no, you don't need PS Plus, PSN, or even an internet connection to play it. Though I would recommend having an internet connection so you can at least download the New Game Plus update. It added a bunch of cool options for replaying the game to make it interesting or different anytime you decide to replay it. I played it without any updates as well, and it was still great, but I do suggest downloading the game updates which are all obviously free.
