No. This is what warranties are for. If it is a manufacturer's defect, it is probably covered. If you did something to it and didn't buy the extended warranty, too bad.

Mine went out after a week. It was the windows update that seems to be killing some computers across all brands. They replaced it and I had the geeks do the updates while I had dinner. Second one seems to be working fine.
