If your looking for more differences on the outside there isn't too much of that, theres more differences in the insides of it. It's got newest generation of Intel processors, so its faster, has a longer battery life, as well as having a better GPU for a video card. It now comes with Windows 8.1 Pro, which is windows newest update. There is an upgrade to the screen color gamut, which microsoft said an increase of 30-40% on that. And of course, the main difference, you now have 2 positions for the kickstand, one more than allows you to have it comfortably on your lap. To sum it up: *New Intel processor (better battery/graphics card/faster) *Windows 8.1 Pro (now adding start menu) *Better screen *2 Positions for kickstand (finally you can use it comfortably on your lap)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.of course! because the battery life of the original surface pro is not long lasting.it can only hold 4 hours .on the new surface ,battery can hold over 7 hours. and the surface pro 2 use 4th ger. of intel i5 prosseor. so it makes it faster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Personally I wouldn't. Pro 2's Haswell CPU has a 25% better GPU, uses less battery power at idle, so gets longer battery life, and it's kickstand has two positions now. The 256 and 512GB versions also have 8GB RAM instead of 4. It's better, but personally I wait longer than one generation to update my PCs and other devices. If money's not an issue for you or you have a use for two of them, then sure why not?
