“If I have a Windows operating seven a Windows 7 do I have to first bring my computer to a Windows 8 or 8.1 before I can go to Windows 10 and can I just buy the software for that and put on my computer or does that have to be a in-store installation”

Nope, you can install right over the top of the 7.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You don't need any other Windows. I upgraded from Windows 7. Just make a clean install. It will be better. You might need help to install it if you've never installed an OS before.
