QuestionOn these walkies, how durable are they? I have had a set of a different brand fail while being used in our warehouse. And not even the set that I thought would fail first, I might add. Are they waterproof? What about being dropped from about 4 foot?

- Answer Hello! The LXT633 is a high quality radio built to withstand normal wear and tear. We can't confirm this radio will survive drops from 4 feet and do not recommend intentionally dropping your radio. Also, they are water resistant but not waterproof.

- Answer Yes they are small but not too small. We love ours and they work pretty well. Our property is 25+ acres and they work all over it but you do have to have a semi clear line of site. They will work through walls too!

- Answer Yes, this radio is under 2W making it an FRS license free radio in the US and legal for use in Canada per their 2W max. The frequencies are open for all FRS and GMRS users with different regulations per channel (the midlandusa.com blog has some really good info on this subject). Wind should not cause you any issues in VOX, you will need to speak into the radio for it to pick up and transmit.

- Answer Hey Chuck - 1. you will need to check the laws in Greece to confirm. 2. Yes, as long as all radios are FRS/GMRS radios using the same channel you can communicate with countless other radios at the same time. 3. Again, you would need to check the laws and frequencies per country, all countries have their own version of the FCC. These radios will work anywhere, its just a matter of if it is lawful in that country. We suggest doing your research on that and on travel restrictions. 4. Yes, if you have 2 on the desktop charger and the other can be charged using the AC charging y-cord. Plug the y-cord into the port labeled "MIC CHG"

- Answer Midland does not release official statements regarding the technical specifications of our handheld radios due to Intellectual Property rights and the competitive nature of the business. Further, there are many variables with individuals testing that can affect the results. Our radios go through standardized testing as required by the FCC for legal operation and that documentation is available to the public on the FCC website.
