As long as your phone is unlocked. Otherwise, you shouldn't have much trouble. For $5....give it a try to see if it works for you. The first SIM is to try it with an assigned phone number. The second SIM card is for you to transfer your existing number over.

"a specific phone?", no specific phone is needed, but, from the specs: "Compatible with most unlocked GSM devices Bring your own phone with this three-in-one SIM card (includes standard, micro, and nano sizes)." So you need an unlocked GSM phone that can take a SIM.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't need a plan. The trial SIM includes a week of service. I used all of the 100 MB of included data by mid week. Any unlocked GSM phone should work. I'm using a T-Mobile specific phone. It works, except I can't get visual voice mail to work. I also tried the SIM in an unlocked Moto X4 which also worked. I had to manually type in the Access Point Names info. The message which sets the APN never came through. After the week trial, you will need a plan to continue using MINT.
