Yes it will. My daughter uses it on her note 5 as well as her tablet.

This has a rubber nib tip (like what you use on an apple product) so it will work on your Samsung, just as your finger would. But this is not a good replacement for the s-pen that comes with the note. If you lost your s-pen i suggest a replacement stylus for a nintendo ds as those have the same sort of tip that the s-pen has.
