  • QuestionWill this antenna pickup vhf and uhf channels? I live in the Atlanta area and we lost channel 11, WXIA which is VHF. The other local channels are UHF. Thanks for your time.

    Asked by Jbneedchannel11.

    • Answer Yes, this antenna receives both UHF and Hi-VHF which is the WXIA station. I recommend scanning your TV for channels again to make sure you need a new antenna. It could also be that you need to move the antenna to another location and please remember to scan your TV for channels every time you move the antenna.

  • QuestionCan you place this antenna BEHIND the flat screen TV so it does not show?

    Asked by evaloretta.

    • Answer Depends on where it's wall mounted or on a stand. If wall mounted the answer is most likely no. If on a stand then you'll need 3-4" between the wall and TV (mostly just to be able to fit the cord which exits the back of the antenna.). However, don't expect that one location to give you the best reception. I found that channels 2 and 4 come in best in one position but to get channel 7 I have to rotate the unit approx. 90 deg. Do i pick up more channels than before...yes but I can't get them all in one position. Had to do several channel scans to determine best position for each channel. Not what I was expecting.

  • QuestionI want to try the Mohu amplified antenna without the amplifier? Where or what do I disconnect? I have the coaxal cable and usb plugged into my tv. Did not need an adapter. Owner's manual said you could try without amplifier to see if you get more channel

    Asked by woods1813.

    • Answer The Arc PRO antenna is preamplified meaning the amplification is built into the antenna, so there is no way for you to remove the amplifier. Our universal manual states you can try it without the amplifier, yes, but this is only if the amplifier is a separate component. Sorry for the confusion.

  • QuestionHow long is the coaxial cable? or can I add a piece of coax? I need 10 ft from window to television.

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer The coaxial cable is 10 ft. long. There is a power injector with a short cable included. If you need to add additional coaxial cable you can use a coaxial coupler to connect two coaxial cables together - sold at your local hardware store.

    Asked by Katsy.

    • Answer Cement will block a lot of signal, but your actual reception depends more on your location and the broadcast from the towers. Asked by lovemychacha.

  • QuestionIf you install this antenna, do you need internet? I understand you get the basic TV stations (ABC, CBS, NBC, etc.) with the antenna and you would need a streaming provider if you want cable channels, am i right?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer You do not need an internet connection to us our Mohu Arc Pro Amplified HDTV Antenna. If you want to continue with your cable channels you will need to keep your monthly contract with your current cable company. However, if you wish to stream services such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. you will need an internet connection for that. • QuestionWill this work with Dish TV?

    Asked by Wondering.

    • Answer Greetings! Thank you for your question. Yes, you sure can use this antenna with a satellite dish. Below is a bit of information. You will use these tips depending on whether you have an older dish or a newer one. Hope this helps! 1. Newer cable and satellite systems require a "set-top box" to be used on each TV in your home. Those boxes should be connected to the TV via an HDMI cable, unless it's a really old setup (see #2 below). If your cable/satellite is set up with an HDMI cable, then the coax input (“ANT IN”) on the back of your TV is available for use to connect an antenna directly to the TV. You will need to run a channel scan on the antenna signal. Then you simply switch between inputs, antenna and cable/satellite. 2. When using an older cable/satellite equipment without a set-top box, the antenna will require a direct coaxial cable connection. The set up becomes more complicated since the antenna will have to share the single input with another source. The easiest and most effective way to set up an antenna alongside your paid service will be for you to use an A-B switch (available on Amazon) to change the signal from cable/satellite to the antenna. A second option would be to manually swap the cables when you need to use the antenna, and you will need to scan for channels when you connect the antenna.

  • Questiondoes it matter which direction the apartment faces? we face north near a wooded area. don't want to purchase if it wont get a signal.

    Asked by Donna.

    • Answer Greetings Donna! For a bit of reference, broadcast towers are 1500 feet up in the air. Most of those signals are not pointing down, so we ALWAYS recommend placing the antenna up as high as possible to achieve the best signal reception. We understand not wanting to spend money on a product that may not work for you, and we sure would not want you to purchase an antenna unless you are sure it will be a good fit for you an your location. The best way to find which antenna is right for you is to give us a call at 1-877-825-5572 . We will run a FREE signal analysis for you and determine whether this is the right antenna for your area. We are available 7 days a week to help! Thank you for your question.
