“I have 4 TV's Comcast is charging me $8 dollars per tv per month do I need a modem and router to hook these TV's up and give there gear back to save some money”

I am sick and tired of renting the modem too. However, this modem is only for internet. I plan to get rid of TV service and use streaming devices to want TV shows. You need a router if you have a lot of devices need to be hard-wired to the internet since there is only one port in the back of the modem.
