I am also on an AT&T plan, long out of contract and not interested in getting tied into a new contract. I purchased this phone under the activate later option, and it worked just fine without having to involve anyone at AT&T. I bought mine in the store, and my Best Buy rep used their adapter equipment to transfer all of my personal files over to the new phone from my ancient HTC One. Very smooth process!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. In my experience, even if the SIM is compatible with the the new phone then you will still have to contact the carrier (AT&T) to have their system "fully recognize" the new phone and all of it's features. Also, this is when they like to charge an Upgrade/Activation Fee. For example, I was able to insert the new SIM and activate the phones (yeah, I bought two) all on Sprint's website without calling anyone....but they still charged me an Upgrade Fee per phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, The SIM can be removed and used in another mobile as long as new mobile support AT&T.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's all you have to do. Beats AT&T's $600-700 price for one of their phones (Moto Power cost $260), Interesting, prior to replacing an old LG 6, the AT&T rep suggested an unlocked phone and just transfer SIM card. Best Buy did that for me. Very, very happy with new phone!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We did this with an AT&T sim card, took it out of a phone that had gotten wet and into the new Moto G and it worked fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
