YES! The version I purchased is "UNLOCKED". It required only transferring my T-Mobile SIM from my previous cellphone to the new one. In the box is the tool needed to pop out the SIM and SD card holder, so you can do it yourself.

Yepp. I use T-mobile and my old phone was too old, wouldn't pick up signal well. No problem now.

This phone is supposed to work with all different mobile networks, including T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. I am currently using this phone on the T-Mobile network. It works great.
