That guy is completely wrong. This phone has been verified to work on Motorola's website. However, the second you purchase the phone, confirm the IMEI is compatible on Boost Mobile's website. Do not open the phone to check the IMEI, it is on the box. This way if for whatever reason the IMEI is not compatible you can easily return it without paying a $45 restocking fee.
