No unfortunately it does not have wireless charging. If you buy from Best buy it does not come with Alex installed , You can install Alexa after upgrading to Android 9.0 but you do not have too. Amazon sells this phone on their web site with Alexa already on thats were the confusion probably comes from, not sure if you can remove if you buy it at Amazon.

It is a thin flat rectangular piece with a short cord that plugs into the power adapter then the flat rectangular portion lays against the back of the phone. It works great for wireless charging, especially with a case on the phone to hide it. It does have a little stickie piece to keep it attached to the back of the phone but I doubt it would stay in place without a case. I have been using these wireless adapters on three moto x4's for a year now and they work just fine. Only downside is you have to take it out of the power adapter to plug in a wired power adapter, but I do that so seldom because I have a wireless charging cradle in my car it is not an issue.
