• A:Answer So far my answer is yes. Mine is under a covered porch as well and I have plenty of activity at my front door and have not needed to change battery.

• A:Answer Yes. The solar output from the small cells would not create any major amperage that would cause any issue. If you are really concerned, just take some tape and wrap the two lines separately to keep from touching anything or each other until you are ready to hook it up.

Q: QuestionRing website lists their Solar Charger as "2nd generation" and power rating is listed as 0.57W, 5.2VDC. The info for this charger is different and doesn't specify 2nd generation. Is this the newer charger? Will it work with Battery Doorbell Plus?

Stacking more than one wedge or corner mount changes the angle of the doorbell and can cast a shadow on the solar charger, making it less effective.
