As a very happy and satisfied owner of a new MSI -17.3 Laptop I wont say which is better per se but I will tell you I am very happy with MY decision to go with MSI. First though the one and so far ONLY drawback I have is that my MSI doesn't have a CD drive so if you need one your going to have to get an external. Other than that My MSI boots up fast, runs cool, plays the games I want it to play at speeds that I can't complain about. I bought the GE72MVR Apache Pro, got the extended warranty just in case, bought the Office download and a new case to go with it and I love everything about it. I was thinking about alienware but I did some research and MSI kept coming up as the top notch brand, I have a coworker that uses one at the office and was impressed by what I saw, now as a owner I can fully understand and appreciate why. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recommend the MSI, it has a bigger screen and it runs at 120hz as opposed to most other laptops that run at 60hz. It's definitely a nice touch. And you're getting more bang for your buck usually as Alienware tends to have inflated prices for their products in my opinion.
