“wanted to hook up smart splitter to charge EV & run dryer. But dryer is upstairs and EV is in garage. Is it possible to use smart splitter? Thanks”

If you were able to find a EV charging cable that is long enough to reach that far if that is your only option. If you aren't to avoid voltage drop I would use a 10 or better 8 gauge extension cord and not to go beyond 100 feet. You can find EV specific ones on here and other stores. If you are able try and see if talking to a qualified electrician to add an outside outlet to be used for your EV. If the garage or other area already is a 240 30 amp device you could also use it for that it doesn't have to be a dryer. You can find the same plug on some Ranges/Ovens and other electric devices.
