“This modem does not come with a SSID and password ( atleast the one I bought did not have one ), so how I connect it to my computer after I hook it up, if I am not using a router ?”

If your PC has a network port, then you could plug the supplied network cable in to Ethernet port. But if your intentions are for more that one computer that are wireless like phone/Tables/Laptops, then you need to purchase a separate wireless router to plug into the Ethernet port.
