“Will this work with optimum cable?”

• I can tell you for certain that the voice component of this modem DOES NOT work with Optimum - because I bought it based on the response to your question, which was totally inaccurate. The data portion will work just fine but if you are using Optimum Voice, it does not work. I also confirmed this with an Optimum tech.

• The CM500 is on the approved modem list for optimum. The "V" in this model is for voice and would only be needed if optimum would be providing home phone service as well.
