you may have an old router, your modem should be fine. what type of router do you have? If its not an AC router you should upgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently had a Netgear modem that I purchased new. It wasn't locking onto available channels and that is why my speeds were low. The tech who came by to check for Xfinity issues suggested using Motorola or Arris brands. He said he'd been seeing issues with Netgear modems recently. He also suggested using a 3.0 modem to handle current available speeds and a 3.1 to handle future speeds.
