- Answer I couldn’t get this unit to communicate with optimums modem. Was on phone with optimum for over 2 hours So I returned it and bought the arris modem/router all in one, Works very well.

QuestionIs the Netggear AX1800 router compatible with a wirless hotspot? I live in a rural location and receive my internet through an unthrottled hot spot. I hooked it up to the router and my devices are not receiving internet signal.

- Answer According to the Netgear website, the Rax15 has a USB 3.0 port. The Rax20 does not. I do not know where they are made.

- Answer The listing advertised 5 Gig Ethernet ports, so if you have gig internet you should be ready to maximize the speed using the router...of course keep in mind you might not reach those top speeds on wifi...but get fairly close wired.

- Answer Don’t recall the box spec but it covers everything from my mailbox to back patio in our 1300 sq ft home. Perfect signal in every room and it’s in the far corner of the home (not ideal, I know). This router solved all the coverage problems we had with spectrum supplied router. 10 personal devices running + I remote in to work server (VPN) and perform constant activities within our order processing software....flawlessly.

- Answer This is only a WiFi router. It does not include a modem. You would need the correct modem for your service and that would connect to this with an ethernet cable. Assuming your current modem/router combo device has ethernet outputs, you could use those to connect to this or any other wifi router. In that case, assuming you have the option, you could shut off the wifi function of the old device and just use a new router to create a new wifi network. You would need to be able to access the settings on the Cox device, probably via the device's ip address and a password...

QuestionI want to setup this router with the same SSID as my Century Link router, model C4000XG. The room where the new router will be setup has an ethernet port connected to the CenturyLink router. Can I do this and how would I go about it?

- Answer Basically what your wanting to do is make this a mesh style? It would be way easier to just get a range extender if lack of signal is what your main pain point is.
