• I have centurylink DSL and use this netgear modem, works well

• Modem works great with Century Link and you own it instead of renting it from phone company ( better equipment also).

• I don't know, but if I don't have to rent I won't. I'm sure you can buy one that will work, just like when we rented routers from the phone company just to find out you can buy one. Ask an assistant at Best Buy, or call the Net Gear Company they will help you. I'm sorry, I'm a great grandmother, and I didn't grow up with all this technical stuff, so I have to ask a lot of questions and I still don't get it. Good luck. Do your homework. One advice I can give you is, buy before you rent.
