You should call 1 800 xfinity for help before buying the ORBI, or call Netgear and ask them what you should do, (Netgear support 1 888 6384327)

A:AnswerBoth will work and fit your needs. I found the availability for Arris T25 not that great and ended up buying CM1150V. When I purchased it, CM1150V was $50 more than T25 but I needed to quickly get the modem due to my old Docsis 3.0 modem failing.
A:AnswerThis modem is designed to work with Comcast Xfinity and that is what I am using it for. The modem has both data and voice capability and this voice capability will only work with Xfinity which makes it less portable to other providers. The data may work on other networks but I haven't tested it. If you can only use it for data anyway on other networks then I would recommend going with another nighhawk model CM1000-100NAS. This one doesn't have voice and is minimum $30 cheaper than the CM1150v.
