• Actually, this is just an extender. Not a router. Answered the wrong question!!! You need a router then this will extend your signal further away. Sorry.

• It should. I have a modem from my fios internet provider (tachus) and it works perfect with it. Any router should work with your internet providers modem. But Comcast should be able to tell you for sure.
