A:AnswerThe Orbi 850 units are not cell phone service compatible at all. They are a mesh wifi system to provide a more even wifi network around your home. They will communicate on either 2.4GHz & 5GHz bands which all of today's cell phones are capable to handle. I couldn't find the technical specs, but it should be able to handle the 1 gig service you have.
A:AnswerThe AX6000 comes with a base unit (connects to the modem) and 1 satellite unit. That alone should cover about 5000 sqft. If you require larger coverage, you can buy additional satellite units that can be added to the base unit. I would think if you bought 2 sets of the AX6000, they would be competing with their wifi signals causing unpredictable results.
A:AnswerRelease date has come and gone but I bought mine a bit early at Best Buy and additional satellites are not yet available as of 11/15/2019. I have spoken with support and they don't have a date yet but say Netgear is working on it. I had 4 Google pucks for coverage before but these 2 Orbi cover about the same with much better speed.
A:AnswerShouldn’t be too much of an issue. I’m running the Orbi 850 and 2 satellites in a 4000sqft 2 story brick house. I get Wi-Fi at my pool pretty easily, although I don’t think it’s 15 yards away. I placed one of my satellites close to that area, but works great. Tied to a Netgear cm1200 3.1 modem. 908 mbps download and 42 mbps upload speed. My new iMac (2021) and MacBook Air M2 (2022) is like a rocket now because they can handle the speed.
A:AnswerYes, just have a satellite upstairs. I have similar 2 story 4000 sqft brick home. Running the 850 with 2 satellites tied to a nighthawk cm1200 3.1 router. The modem and main router are downstairs. Coverage is great into my daughters room far back corner of the upstairs. I have a satellite upstairs though)
