A:AnswerI don’t think ther is a maximum that you have to have in order to be able to use this and benefit. It takes what you have and you get true internet.. you will be blown away by how easy it is to set up i(I have spectrum so I don’t know about other carriers) but it is so much faster and no issues at all with internet. We stream our tv shows and my son plays on his xbox one on line and no interference at all and no lag and it doesn’t freeze up. Its a must buy.
A:AnswerIt should pick up your network first. As long as you never logged into your neighbor, you will be good. Also, turn off “ask to join networks” in your setting on your iPhone so and iPads. Then you are 100% good.
A:AnswerI'm inclined to say yes since I have a 3 set myself and I believe my total distance is well over 300 ft. Suggest you just put one at the halfway point and you shouldn't have a problem. Twists and turns affect signal strength more than just plain walls. I always have Excellent and Strong indicators in the different rooms versus Good, Weak & Poor. Only a couple suspect spots due to the way the home is constructed. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerYou have the option of running the Orbi router in Access Point mode alongside your current router or disabling the WiFi radio in your FIOS system and strictly running the Orbi as your WiFi device. To disable the Wi-Fi on your FIOS router (recommended) - http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31100?cid=wmt_netgear_organic.
A:AnswerYou have the option of connecting your devices internally without an Internet Service Provider, but you will require an ISP and modem in order to access the Internet as routers are strictly designed to distribute what is sent to them.
A:AnswerYes! The recently released firmware version 2.0.0.74 now allows daisy-chaining of satellites. You can read more about it and how to update your firmware manually (if desired) here: https://kb.netgear.com/000048467/RBR50-RBS50-Firmware-Version-2-0-0-74
A:AnswerI have a 5200 sq ft house. I purchased the one for a 6,000 sqft house. I get great reception throughout the entire house plus around 10-15 ft outside the house as well. I have to say that if you got the Night Hawk you should be getting great wifi within 300ft no problem. Did you try an extender? Make sure you download NetGear Genie on line (it's Free). It may be a conflict in your system.
