A:AnswerI have not tried this but i believe that you can use the satellites from the set. I know it seems to be less expensive to do it the way you are trying.
A:AnswerIf you mean an extender you can add an extender to this network. You can also purchase an additional Orbi Satellite. If you have and extender lying around already you can integrate that.
A:AnswerIt works with Google Fiber box. Had unreliable cable internet service. Was sold the Orbi system by Bestbuy to fix this problem. But it didn't. So switched to Google Fiber and had the same question. The Geeksquad guy that setup my Orbi system said he didn't know how to configure the Orbi to the fiber box. The Google installer didn't know how either and said they are not to install non Google equipment. So thinking we were going to have to find another tech guy or attempt to get Netgear on the phone to help us, we decided to just give it a go. Good news that it was very easy and worked right away all on it's own. Plugged it into the fiber box and gave it a few minutes. Then logged into the system as admin. Checked all settings. They system was all set. I can choose to use the mesh system or the fiber box.
I'm not a tech person so there might be something I'm missing, but my internet is really fast now which I needed for TV streaming.
A:AnswerOrbi also offers an outdoor satellite. The covered range is listed as 6000 sq ft. You shouldn’t have an issue as long as it is in range.. The return policy would allow you to try it out
A:AnswerThe Orbi is set up using an Ethernet cord to the modem. We have linked the installation guide below:

- NETGEAR
A:AnswerIt depends on how many devices you have and whether or not you have VOIP phone service. I have had consistently good performance with ARRIS SBV2404 and SBV3202 with phone/voice. If you don't need voice/phone the ARRIS SB6190 is a good choice. These are either 32x8 or 24x8, which is a lot of capacity. Netgear has the CM1150V and CM500V and they have worked well for me in the past. The former is 32x8 and the latter 16x4, both support voice. If you don't need voice/phone the Netgear CM1000 has been my goto.
A:AnswerRealistically, that is too far away to get a reliable signal. The easiest solution would be to get a CAT6A cable out to the shop (technically 400 is out of Ethernet range as well, but if you don't need PoE and what you are doing in the shop is not too bandwidth intensive it will probably work).
A:AnswerI have Spectrum and they provided me 400mps as part of my package with TV streaming. I have a two story house with many Apple devices along with desktop computers in my office. My speed test shows I am receiving 400mps throughout the house. I use a Satellite in my office and connect a printer and desktop to it with a CAT-5 cable. My modem and Orbi router are on the same level. Another Satellite is on the main level and provides service to my large screen TV and Apple devices. Actually, I have added another Satellite to direct connect to my security camera system. The AP is easy to use and shows what ORBI devices are connected and what is connected to each. So this system provides plenty of coverage wirelessly. You might Want to consider extra Satellites as I did, to connect with a CAT-5 cable for the best connection to a device.
