QuestionCan these be used to connect a home network with a building a few hundred feet away, but on the same power line?I have a wireless network in my home, it works all over the house and yard around it, but the signal is not strong enough to be picked up in my metal building garage/shop about 200 hundred feet away. The shop is wired to the same electrical feed as the house at the meter, can a power line internet adapter be used to establish a network connection from the house to the shop using that wiring?

- Answer Might work. I tried a similar application and but was not able to connect at a decent speed due to way wiring went through main panel. You can always try and return to store w/in 14 days if does not work the way you want it to.

QuestionWill this device allow our security system to communicate with our wireless router, if connected to our camera system. We got new internet service and our router has been moved. We do not want to run new wires.

- Answer Yes, this device comes with two pieces: (i) One that goes into an electric outlet near your wireless router. You connect it to the wireless router via an Ethernet cable. (ii) The second piece goes into an outlet near your security system. It communicates with the first piece through the electric wiring in your home. This second piece has an Ethernet jack that you can connect to the security system and it is also a wireless router itself.

- Answer Yes you could it has an Ethernet port. Plug your router into that port and it should work as it will then have internet. All of my devices just use this as a wireless access point so I did not have a need for wired connections at this access point.

QuestionHow do I find the XWNB5201 gateway code?I'm using the XWNB5201 to try to play online on a DS light. Is this possible? I think I know all the codes except for the "gateway" and want to know where to find this. Also, if I could know if my DNS's are correct and my IP Address, as well as the Subnet Mask are correct, it would help very much. Please tell me if it's possible and how to find all of these codes (if possible to connect at all.) Thank you.

- Answer To connect the DS to the power line you will need the SSID not the gateway. The ip, DNS, and default gateway will all be managed at your router. This device passes a signal through the electrical line and allows a connection it is not a router point.
