“Would I be able to use this in my attached garage on occasion during the winter? I like to work on my car or do an occasional project in the garage & need to add a little heat at times.”

It’s going to depend on how large your garage is and how well insulated it is. I have mine in the living room and it has helped keep me from using gas to run my furnace. If your garage isn’t too big, it should work.
