A: No there is no smell to it.

Q: Could this be used in a humid bathroom?
A: I’m running a humidifier in the same area. It hasn’t caused any problems.
Q: is it cold to the touch or does it get hot?
A: The top of the unit gets a little hot. The rest of the unit is just a nice warm touch.
Q: Does this come with mounting hardware?
A: Yes it does. However, I felt the drywall anchors that came with. It were small, so I use some sturdier ones that I had on hand.
A: It’s going to depend on how large your garage is and how well insulated it is. I have mine in the living room and it has helped keep me from using gas to run my furnace. If your garage isn’t too big, it should work.
