I installed 2 of these myself with no problems. It can be set to record when your car is parked, but needs to be plugged into a live outlet while parked. The camera's battery doesn't last long, so it needs to be plugged in.

Please try again later.I installed the camera in the upper right corner, in front of the passenger, and ran the power cord down the right door jam under the paneling, then brought it under the glove box and over to the cigarette lighter without any issue. I did buy the power cord that installs into the fuse box but I haven't installed it yet. Should be pretty easy to do on my own though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can install it yourself but it is a little tricky to hide the power wire. The camera goes off and on with your car so no it does not record while the car is off.
