The non-answer provided by 'Night Owl' makes me suspicious that the file format is a probably a proprietary format.

Before you can back up or export recorded videos stored on the DVR Hard Disk Drive, you must first format your USB flash drive or External Hard Drive (HDD) to FAT32/ExFat.
